Green Thumb Sunday

A lot is happening in our gardens this week. A baby cardinal hatched in our jasmine. The first two or three flowers on the jasmine have popped open.

The first elephant ear has poked its head tentatively out of the ground:

The landscapers finished my weeding for me, and I planted a bed of annuals (Gerberas, zinnias, vincas, creeping phlox (which I suspect is actually a perennial)), full of riotous color:

Beautiful annual bed - so much color!

I love gerberas - seems so strange to me to have them in a bed - here they are usually either cut flowers or indoor pot plants.

Lovely photos too, I hope you enjoy your vibrant bed :)

I love the color of those gerberas...they're one of my favorite flowers. I'm always afraid to plant them in the ground, though, and keep them in a pot.

Are the vincas easy to grow? I need something for a border along a sidewalk.

Happy GTS!

beautiful!
i believe you're right about that creeping phlox!
