Little Puffs of Petroleum

Scrunchy

I've been doing a really good job of greening my household. I've switched to Method cleaning products; gone back to Earth-friendly Aveda hair products; banned shower gel for organic Kiss My Face soap; eschewed dioxins in my feminine products; and switched over to 100% renewable energy for our electricity production, just to name a few.

But during all this greening, I was happily soaping myself with these little puffs of petroleum products. We have at least eight of them in the house, and we only have five bodies to wash; I wonder how many carcinogens are burned and released in the production of one of these boogers. I bought myself a natural cellulose sponge, and when everyone else's petro-puffs are worn out, they will no doubt be as pleased as I am (NOT!) to replace it with a natural cellulose sponge... I can hardly wait to tell them!

Yikes.

My son loves "baff poufs".

Oh no, I love my loufa! I didn't even think about how evil it was... I'm totally stealing this idea for my blog, btw. (Obviously.) Where did you get a natural one?

Just follow the link online, or if you have Whole Foods in Canada, that's where I found mine!
